OK so I have no idea why I thought it would be an amazingly good idea to start another blog, but this one might actually link to Ravelry. Whee.
I don't have access to a digital camera right now so everyone is just going to have to bear with me and my tedious descriptions of whatever I happen to feel like annoying you with.
At the moment: my current project ((It is a knit and ramble blog...)) is an neck warmer for my Husband, who tends to overheat in most actually wintery things... but still has a problem getting wind blasted ears and nose. So he's getting the neck warmer in a wool-blend. ((Lion Brand's "Amazing")) So that it's warm, but not TOO too warm, for someone who could probably wander around an Alaskan winter in a light jacket.
((I really hope our son gets his winter weather protection, because lord knows I don't have it.))

Which is a nice, free pattern, although I did a sample knit in worsted weight yarn (as recommended) and it came out HUGE, so thats a heads up for anyone else following in my footsteps with this one. The idea is terrific, but yarns are devious things, so who knows.
So far I'm really enjoying the Amazing. It is Lions Brand, which isn't exactly "Top End" level yarn, but it's really nice, it's knitting up very soft, and I really don't have the budget for my usual 'champage taste' right now anyway. Also the colorway is quite pretty, if this one is a lot darker than I was actually expecting from the add they landed in my inbox that made me curious about it to begin with.
The one thing I've noticed is that the yarn is making a little 'felt bead' as I draw my hand down it, but that may just be because of the way I draw my hand down the yarn as I knit. I don't know if anyone else has this problem with fuzzy yarns, but I'd be curious to know. ((I'm debating saving it for an eye for a plush toy.))
