So I've been hearing stuff about "The Slender Man" on and off for a while, and as a mythology buff, this has kind of been bugging me since I had -never- heard of him before.
So I finally gave up and did a little let work and found out that this was because The Slender Man is an entirely modern bit of mythos that was created by an rather ingenious fellow using a camera, youtube, and the power of suggestion. ((also some tricky camera work.))
This is where I have to concede to being pretty darn impressed. I mean how cool would it be to create a piece of mythos and have it sink it's spindly fingers so deeply into peoples brains the way the whole Slender Man thing has?
I'll be surprised if he's not a commonly accepted and searched for critter in 20 years. If not less.

We're Number 1!
So MiniMonster is officially a year old! It's actually been a couple days since his Birthday, but I haven't been very good about blogging for a bit. Sorry, about that, my long suffering readers!
He's had an exciting year, that's for definite, and he got one heck of an array of presents! His favorite stuff seems to be his "Mega Blocks" trucks in various forms, and the Fisher Price ride on musical car that Turtle and Bear's family got him.
Speaking of turtles, he also seems to be forming an attachment to a cute stuffed tortoise that one of Auntie Roo's friends got him. He seems to have developed a minor fear of the dark, but apparently that fixes nicely by stuffing your head under a plush tortoise.
Shell-by-proxy?
He's started to enjoy being read to more, and really likes the rhyming scheme of "Hands, Hands, Fingers Thumb" ((I should be able to recite it by memory before another two months are out.))
Good times!
